It started in the woods......
The first design of the modern net zero home. It will consist of solar panels, radiant heat, triple pane glazing system, green roofs, geothermal and extra thick walls for high insulation value.
The walls are 12" thick with hybrid system of insulation that includes a closed cell and batt insulation in the cavity with an additional continuous 1" rigid insulation. This particular system give the best of all three materials. The hybrid system will obtain an R-value of close to an R-60.
